Ingredients

78% Goat Muscle Meat, 20% Fresh Carrots, Fresh Fennel, Fresh Raspberries, 2% Lico Micro Mineral Mix (Algae Lime, Brewer's Yeast, Seaweed Meal, Malt Seeds, Grape Seed Extract)

Goat: is low-calories and low-fat, which will help your pet maintain a healthy weight. It's also a great source of protein, iron, selenium, and copper among other essential nutrients. Your pet needs these nutrients to maintain optimal immune function, stay energized, and ensure their bones develop properly! Goat meat has far fewer calories than beef or chicken, so it may be a great option for dogs who need to lose a few pounds. Goat meat also has more protein than beef and nearly as much as chicken, while having much less fat than either of the other two.

Goat is often considered a "Novel" protein for dog foods, meaning that is a relatively new protein source and therefore few intolerances towards goat have developed in canines. It is because of this that we can consider our raw goat-based dog foods as 'hypoallergenic'. If your dog suffers from allergies or intolerances towards traditional protein sources such as chicken and beef, or if they suffer from a sensitive stomach, we recommend trying this goat meal. Symptoms of allergies or intolerances can include unpleasant digestive issues, poor skin and coat health and lack of energy or vitality.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it's time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your dog, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
