Ingredients

78% Kangaroo Meat, Fresh Fennel, Fresh Raspberries, 22% Lico Micro Mineral Mix (Algae Lime, Brewer's Yeast, Seaweed Meal, Malt Seeds, Grape Seed Extract)

Kangaroo has many advantages as a meat ingredient in dog food. It is an ideal source of protein and is considered to be naturally the leanest red meat protein available. This makes it an ideal choice for any dogs that suffer from conditions, like pancreatitis, that require a low-fat diet. The levels of fat that kangaroo carries are not only low, but they are also unsaturated, which is a bonus.

In addition, kangaroo meat has among the best levels of zinc and iron of any meat on the market. The importance of zinc is that it is critical for the correct function of cell membranes. It also supports a dog’s immune responses to disease, making sure they quickly recover from any wounds they may suffer in the rough and tumble of canine life.

Kangaroo are a good option for dogs who may have food sensitivities or allergies to other protein sources such as beef or chicken. Since kangaroo is a "Novel" protein, it may help reduce allergens and skin irritations in pets with food-related issues.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it's time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your dog, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
