Ingredients

50% North Sea Shrimp, 50% Norwegian Salmon

Shrimp are not only tasty, they are full of nutrients that dogs need, like vitamin B12, niacin, phosphorus, and anti-oxidants. Vitamin B12 is important for your dog’s metabolic processes and plays an important role in gastrointestinal health. Niacin, also known as vitamin B3, is required for proper enzyme function and energy production, fat production, blood circulation, chemical signals, and many other processes. Phosphorus is necessary for healthy bones, and anti-oxidants help fight free radicals and can reduce brain aging.

Shrimp are also low in fat, calories, and carbohydrates, which makes them a good choice for dogs on a diet. However, shrimp are high in cholesterol. This means that while an occasional shrimp is a healthy treat, too many shrimp can contribute to unhealthy levels of cholesterol in your dog’s diet.

Salmon: is one of the best dietary sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, which contribute to a variety of bodily functions including kidney and brain function and the immune system, as well as skin, coat and bone health. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential which means that they must be consumed as part of a dog's diet as dogs cannot create them themselves. A food source rich in quality Omega-3 is imperative for optimal canine health.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's or cat's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend a feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

Cats prefer their food very fresh and warm. Kittens should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight. We recommend a feeding any cats over the age of 6 months twice a day. We recommend feeding 5-6% until fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve raw products when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to a raw diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it’s time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your pet, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
