Description

Sous Vide comes from the French term “Under Vacuum”. It involves placing uncooked food into food-grade bags, sealing them, and submerging them into water. The temperature of the water cooks the food nice and slow for several hours, just enough to kill pathogens but no more. This process eliminates the chance of overcooking the food and delivers consistent results every time.

Sensitive stomachs, young puppies, or senior dogs sometimes cannot tolerate raw meat and for this reason, we now offer you a gentle variant of species-appropriate feeding.

Ingredients

80% Beef Muscle Meat, Beef Meaty Bones, Beef Liver, Beef Lungs, Beef Heart, Beef Spleen, Beef Kidney, 20% Fresh Carrots, Fresh Apple, Fresh Pear, Fresh Fennel, Lico Micro Mineral Mix (Algae Lime, Brewer's Yeast, Seaweed Meal, Malt Seeds, Grape Seed Extract)

Beef: is considered a complete protein as it contains all the essential amino acids that dogs need to consume in their diet in order to promote optimal bodily function. Beef is also a great source of B vitamins, zinc, and iron.

Beef heart: is a very concentrated source of the supernutrient and Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is necessary for the basic functioning of cells, as well as for optimizing the heart’s rhythm. Beef heart also contains selenium, phosphorus, and zinc, along with essential amino acids that help build muscle, store energy and boost stamina and endurance. The heart also contains twice as much collagen and elastin as regular meat, which is essential for healthy joints.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it's time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your dog, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
