Ingredients

Water Buffalo Muscle Meat, Water Buffalo Lung, Water Buffalo Liver, Water Buffalo Bone

Buffalo: is a low-allergen meat source perfect for dogs with allergies. Highly digestible for good nutrient absorption and smaller eliminations. Compared with commercial beef, buffalo meat is leaner, lower in cholesterol and higher in protein content. Buffalo has a higher concentration of iron and essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), is rich in vitamins B6, B12, and vitamin D, and is a good source of calcium, potassium, and CoQ10 enzymes. Buffalo meat is also full of flavor, which is sure to make your dog's tail wagging.

Buffalo is often considered a "Novel" protein for dog foods, meaning that is a relatively new protein source and therefore few intolerances towards buffalo have developed in canines. It is because of this that we can consider our raw buffalo-based dog foods as 'hypoallergenic'. If your dog suffers from allergies or intolerances towards traditional protein sources such as chicken and beef, or if they suffer from a sensitive stomach, we recommend trying this buffalo meal. Symptoms of allergies or intolerances can include unpleasant digestive issues, poor skin and coat health, and lack of energy or vitality.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's or cat's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend a feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

Cats prefer their food very fresh and warm. Kittens should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight. We recommend a feeding any cats over the age of 6 months twice a day. We recommend feeding 5-6% until fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve raw products when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it’s time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your pet, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
