Lamb: provides a rich supply of high-quality protein and is naturally rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 which promote the health of the skin and coat whilst also providing a source of energy. Lamb is also very rich in Niacin, Vitamin B12, Zinc and Selenium, which all contribute to optimal bodily functions.

Green tripe: is the stomach lining of ruminant animals such as cattle, lamb, and goats. Their digestive system is complex, as their stomachs have four chambers that systematically break down grass with digestive enzymes, gastric juices and amino acids. These enzymes, gastric juices and amino acids are very nutritious for dogs and cats as they contribute to a pet's own digestion and the health of other body functions.

Green tripe also contains Lactic Acid Bacteria, known as Lactobacillus Acidophilus, which is the main ingredient in probiotics and promotes stomach health. It also has the perfect ratio of calcium to phosphorus (1:1), with the lower phosphorous content being ideal for dogs with liver and kidney problems, and also is a good source of manganese! Tripe is considered a complete protein source for dogs, meaning that it contains all 10 of the essential amino acids that dogs need to consume as part of their diet.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed 2-3% of the dog's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

  • Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

  • Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it's time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your dog, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage & Handling

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
