Healthy Range - Kidney Support (Chicken)

A high-quality BARF meal, specifically designed by nutritionists and animal health practitioners to maintain overall canine health, paying specific attention to the kidneys. Like in humans, a dog's kidneys are responsible for filtering toxins and waste from the body. Although some breeds are more prone to developing kidney conditions, kidney damage can also occur when a dog ingests harmful ingredients or toxins. When the kidneys aren't functioning properly, a build-up of toxins can occur in the body which can be detrimental to other bodily functions. Side effects can be changes in water consumption, changes in urine production and loss of appetite. You should always consult your vet if you are concerned about your dog's health.

This menu contains high-quality lean chicken meat and offal, supplemented with biologically appropriate vegetables, fruits, low-fat quark cheese and special herbs such as nettle seeds and MSM powder. Feed 2-3% of the dog's ideal body weight daily, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

• Step #1: Preparation

Once you're ready, take out your pet's meal from the refrigerator. Only serve when completely thawed - Frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food. This takes a bit of foresight, but once you're used to the new diet it becomes very easy to remember when to take out new portions to thaw!

• Step #2: Serving

Once your pup's meal is fully thawed it's time for feeding! Feed an appropriate portion to your dog, preferably in a separate bowl. We recommend a stainless steel bowl as it can easily be cleaned. Other materials, such as plastic, are porous and can trap germs over time. Remove any unconsumed food (if there is any!) within 20 minutes.

Storage

Keep raw-frozen products frozen until ready to use. Our raw-frozen products should be stored frozen at -18°C in the freezer. Before feeding, should be thawed in the refrigerator. We recommend you allow 2 days for the meals to fully thaw before feeding. Freshly opened products should be stored in the refrigerator and fed within 72 hours.

Safe Handling

Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands, and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry. Keep raw meat and poultry away from children and separate from other foods. It’s important to clean your pet's bowl after each meal, which is why we recommend using a bowl that can easily be sanitized. Wash your hands and your pet's bowl with warm soapy water after each feeding.
